Success Stories:
Two Steps Forward has been working with Little Company of Mary Hospital (LCMH) since 2007. It is part of the mission of Little Company of Mary Hospital and its Cancer Center to provide support to breast cancer survivors. Breast cancer care and support are done under the Breast Center Team which includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and nurses providing a multi-disciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating breast cancer.
Additionally, the team is committed to reaching out in the community to provide support services for life after breast cancer. Currently, our Integrative Therapy staff offers many services and programs free of charge for those with breast cancer to reduce side effects from treatments such as fatigue, promote relaxation, and enhance well being.
Two Steps Forward is committed to helping LCMH find resources through grant writing for the Cancer Center. LCMH was recently awarded a Ticket for the Cure grant written from the Illinois Department of Public Health, Office of Women’s Health to help expand their Integrative Therapies Program for Breast Cancer Patients and Survivors.
